Courtney here, pleased to make your acquaintance!

I’m just a girl in the last year of her 20′s living life as a “fat girl” professional in Greenville, SC.  Wait…you’re fat??  Yep…and I have struggled with it my whole life.  I finally realized that while I want to lose some weight for my health…I don’t want to be skinny and like that I don’t look like every other woman…it’s quite refreshing.

So I started this blog…to talk about the journey and to open up about things people don’t think you should talk about.  Ooooooo it’s bad to be FAT…people don’t like you or boys don’t want to date you.  Screw that…I haven’t had any problems in those departments.  (Except the same problems every woman has)

I’ll blog about fashion, men, struggles, hilarious stories, recipes I find, my crazy ass family and really anything that moves me in that moment.  I’ll try to keep it clean for the grandparents but I really want this to be an honest dictation of my thoughts and experiences.  I hope you can appreciate that!

Things you might need to know about me…

• I will NEVER be skinny…I am okay with that.  My goal is to lose 60 lbs by 30 which will still keep me in Fat Girl territory. 
• I LOVE GAY MEN!  They make some of the best friends and I have a blast with my boys.
• Both of my parents have Cancer…to learn more visit my cancer page.
• I’m a veteran of the US Army and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
• I LOVE MY CITY GREENVILLE, SC
• My family is unusual…to say the least.  There is nothing, and I do mean NOTHING, I won’t share with my parents.  I have 2 brothers…and yes they are up for sale.
• I’m currently unemployed….hire me!  My background is in HR, Career Development and Recruiting/Placement.
• I realized my Associates Degree don’t mean squat (and yes I know that isn’t proper English, no emails please) and everyone wants/needs a bachelors degree now so I will be starting back to school soon.
• My intense struggle with turning 30!!!
• I love people and I SINCERELY LOVE my friends!

I am pretty open, pretty quirky and diverse.  Daddy’s girl and dang I just realized this is starting to sound like a personal ad….so….
