Courtney here, pleased to make your acquaintance!

Some say I am pretty goofy but a lot of fun for sure!  I’m just a girl in her 20′s making it through life and finding out it’s really NOT THAT BAD!

Long story short, I have a lot of life experience in my short time on earth.  I grew up in Charlotte, NC and moved to the little town of Easley, SC at 16.  At 17 I joined the Army National Guard which was NOT a part time gig!  Believe me!  After an amazing experience deployed to Iraq I came home to graduate with an Associates Degree in Graphic Design which I used for…oh…2 years before getting laid off.  A brief stint as an HR Manager with Waffle House helped me get the experience necessary to land the job I have now as a Career Advisor.  In addition I volunteer a lot and was President of the Greenville Junior Chamber of Commerce for two years.  You may have seen me around town…but you may not really KNOW me.  Congratulations…here is your opportunity!

Things you will hear me talk about…

  • My mother.  She is LIVING with cancer and doing very well.  She is my rock and my motivation!
  • The military and my life in it and out of it
  • Greenville!  I love it here!  Also the restaurants we have.  Yes…I love to eat!
  • My crazy redneck country family.  Ok so we aren’t that bad…but we have some crazy moments.  (The Bi-Lo Shuffle, YO YO Wednesdays, Talent Shows at Thanksgiving just to name a few)
  • My job.  I love love love what I do and I am pretty good at it.  I like to share things I learn or experiences I have on here.
  • I realized my Associates Degree don’t mean squat (and yes I know that isn’t proper English, no emails please) and everyone wants/needs a bachelors degree now so I started back to school.
  • My intense struggle with turning 30!!!!!
  • My new church, my new faith and volunteer work.

I am pretty open, pretty quirky and diverse.  Daddy’s girl and dang I just realized this is starting to sound like a personal ad….so….

Nice to meet you, if you need to know anything else…just ask!
