So we tried them.  The infamous CHEERWINE DOUGHNUTS!  James as been all about them recently.  Now I LOVE Krispy Kreme doughnuts, actually I really like anything sweet but there isn’t a whole lot better then hot doughnuts at 3 am wearing a pink wig with…oh…thats another blog…

Anywho…

I bought them from the Bi-Lo on Pleasantburg.  They were only $3.99.  Since James talked about them so much I figured I would be a good friend and hook him up.  He LOVES Cheerwine.  They aren’t available at the Krispy Kreme locations so you have to buy them at a grocery store which means that they aren’t fresh and maybe that’s the issue.

They are the cakey kind with chocolate icing on top.  Then they have red and white sprinkles.  There is about 4 drops of red creamy stuff on the inside which is the Cheerwine flavor.  So there isn’t that much flavor in there.  The flavor is good, just not much off it.

I guess the taste is ok, but I wasn’t overly impressed or excited about it.  James is going to get some fresh ones on his way to Lexington so we will see if freshness makes a difference.
