Well, David’s birthday was Friday and we had a blast with good friends and good food. A week prior, my aunt Sharon was in town for my mother’s 50th birthday. (Also a great time and too awesome to blog about!
) With her she brought the most amazing thing I have ever seen…whipped cream vodka!
She comes over to me with a red solo cup and says “Hey try this” and of course without hesitation I drink it. Slow at first. It smells amazing! After one sip the intense whipped cream flavor is totally there. I asked her what she mixed up and she says nothing, it’s the whipped cream vodka. GET OUT! I finish off what’s left and the bite at the end gave me a shiver, I need more of this!
As I have researched more into this, it’s a brand called Pinnacle and they don’t just dabble in whipped cream, but they have several other rare flavors too including butterscotch, cherry limeade, chocolate, cotton candy, double espresso and root beer. So for David’s birthday I bought a bottle. Now to think up a snazzy recipe.
Of course the strawberries and chocolate came to mind. I tried it like a mudslide and drizzled chocolate on the shot glass and poured in the vodka with the strawberry on the side. You didn’t get enough chocolate. So then I filled up the shot glass with half vodka and then squirted in half chocolate but it didn’t mix and you still didn’t get all the chocolate. So finally, I resorted to the old fashioned shaker. 2 parts vodka and 1 part chocolate syrup….shake…pour….garnish with strawberry. Eat the strawberry first, chew a little and keep it in your mouth while you shoot the vodka and chocolate. OMG it’s HEAVEN!
Thanks to my aunt Sharon for introducing me! Now I just need a kick a$$ name for it. Any suggestions?!?!
